Treatments - Skincare Concerns We Address | Lucenci
Skincare concerns Lucenci is engineered for
Lucenci's product range is built around the concerns Indian skin faces most: hyperpigmentation, acne and post-acne marks, melasma, dull tone, and a compromised skin barrier from over-exfoliation. Each formula is designed at the molecular level - concentrations, pH, delivery vehicles and active combinations - to address one of these clinically.
Pigmentation & melasma
Indian skin produces more melanin and is more prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) and melasma than lighter skin. Our pigmentation lineup pairs 4-n-butyl resorcinol, tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, and niacinamide at evidence-based concentrations to fade pigmentation without irritating the skin into making more. Shop pigmentation.
Acne & post-acne marks
Most "acne scars" in Indian skin are actually post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation - flat dark marks that take months to fade. Our acne products work on both axes: 2% salicylic acid clears the active acne, 8% PAD (a stabilised form of vitamin C precursor) plus niacinamide fade the marks left behind. Shop acne.
Dull skin & uneven tone
Dull skin in tropical climates is usually a barrier-and-exfoliation problem, not a hydration one. Glycolic acid (at 3%, not 10%) plus niacinamide and resorcinol blends restore even tone without compromising the barrier. Shop brightening.
Compromised skin barrier
Indian skincare consumers are often over-exfoliating from too many actives, too high a concentration, and the wrong pH. Our toners are formulated at safe pH windows; our barrier repair line uses ceramides, panthenol, and 16-form hyaluronic acid to rebuild compromised skin. Shop barrier repair.
Sun protection
UVA/UVB protection is non-negotiable for any pigmentation or anti-aging routine. Indian skin needs broad-spectrum SPF without white cast. Sunscreen is coming soon to the Lucenci lineup.
How Lucenci formulates differently
Every Lucenci product is co-formulated by our founders alongside cosmetic chemists. We choose actives based on what the peer-reviewed literature says works on Indian (Fitzpatrick III-VI) skin - not what's trending on Instagram. We pair every brightening or exfoliating active with a barrier-supporting ingredient to prevent the rebound pigmentation that comes from over-treating Indian skin.
